Stephen Keshi resigns as coach of Super Eagles
Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, has resigned from his job after
leading Nigeria to their first Africa Nations Cup triumph in 19 years.
His surprise resignation was confirmed last night by a close source who said Keshi had made up his mind to resign before the final match on Sunday.
It was learnt that the Keshi had sent words to the President presently in London before dropping his resignation letter.
Keshi would however join the Super Eagles team in presenting the cup to the President during the reception on Tuesday.
“He would be at the reception but he has decided to move on considering the treatment he has received from the football authorities in the country,” our source said.
