The recent marriage brouhaha between John Dumelo and Harrinia Alexander Dembele, who is said to be a nurse, model and an actress based in the US,should not surprise movie lovers,especially the ones based in the United States of America.The truth is that most of our actors have become a laughing stock abroad. These actors who were highly regarded in the past,now come here for Entertainment related biz and act so unprofessional in their attempt to impress and please everyone. Some of them are unrepentant women chasers that during any event held here in USA,they would throw caution and decency into the wind,to get close to women who take pictures with them for nefarious and negative motives. Movie producers are complaining aloud how some of them barely concentrate during movie shooting as their phones ring non-stop. One is not saying here that all the ladies who take photos with them are bad,truth be told,majority of these ladies only want to use those pictures to score cheap points among their friends.
A classic example is that of a female Nigerian school dropout once resident in LA who used her Face book page to deceive people that she is a movie actress . The opportunity to prove her point came when she went to an an award event in North Carolina with her then boyfriend wanna-be movie producer. She was able to take photos with Van Vicker and others,today,she is using those photos to support her lies that she is a movie actress. Same story goes for a very young over ambitious kid from Edo State,Nigeria based in New York,who lately has taken the movie industry for a ride with the same bout of lies and deceits that he is a movie producer. No thanks to series of photos he took with some Nollywood stars who by rights should have had agents abroad who vents who ever needs to take photos with them. I will bring you the list of Nigerian/Ghanian actors who have reduced themselves to a laughing stock in US,in my next edition.
