Four Men Gang Raped A Deaf And Dumb Girl In Lagos
Evil men prey on the vulnerable, haba, what if she had been their
daughter, sister, niece, etc, how would they have felt if four men gang
raped her knowing fully well she cannot cry out because of her
disability? This story actually brought tears to my eyes, this is not
soooooooooooooooooooo good.
For allegedly having carnal knowledge of a 15-year old deaf and dumb
teenage girl (name withheld), two men have been arraigned before the
Apapa Magistrate’s Court in Lagos, southwest Nigeria, for rape. They
were alleged to have gang-raped the girl with two others who are on the
run at 4, Adeyemo Street, Kirikiri town, Lagos State. They allegedly
took the victim to a house where they had sex with her in turns.
The police arrested two of the suspects, Vincent Ibediagu, 25 and Ebuka
Eneh, 23, while the others escaped. They were charged before the court
on a two-count charge of having unlawful carnal knowledge and rape. The
prosecutor, Mr. Friday Inedu told the court that the offence was
contrary to Sections 409 and 258 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos
State of Nigeria, 2011.
It was gathered that the accused lured the
victim to a room in Kirikiri town and asked her to remove her pant and
was raped. The matter came to the open when their neighbour discovered
what they were doing and alerted others who forced the door open.
Ibediagu and Eneh were arrested and handed over to the police, while two
escaped.
They pleaded not guilty to the charge and the presiding magistrate, Mr.
H.O.A. Amos granted them bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties
in like sum. They were however remanded in prison custody at the
Kirikiri Prisons pending the perfection of the conditions attached to
their bail.
