But it appears the actress would not have the pleasure of seeing her scenes when the yet-to-be-released movie, directed by Niyi Bandele, goes to the cinemas. It was gathered that Genevieve Nnaji’s scenes weren’t important to the story and has thus been deleted.
A reliable source who has seen the movie said, “I figured that because of Genevieve Nnaji’s way of acting, her character dragged the storyline, so it was cut out during editing.”
Speaking further the source said, “Her minor role was [just a] compensation to Nollywood… she should not try to go to the cinemas to see the film with her family members, else she will give herself heartache.”
Genevieve Nnaji will only be seen in a party scene in the finished Half of A Yellow Sun movie.
