A Pastor, who allegedly raped a 29-year-old female teacher (name withheld), is currently being interrogated by the Ashaiman branch of the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU).
Phillip Kwabi, 41, Founder and General Overseer of Mustard Seed Faith Ministry International, according to sources, was arrested by the police after the victim’s auntie accosted him while attempting to rape her at their home at community 16, Lashibi.  According to the Ashaiman DOVVSU Coordinator, ASP Jennifer Bolah, the victim’s auntie reported the matter to the police which led to his arrest.
ASP Bolah noted that the victim, who is suffering mental disorder, used to teach at a school in Cape Coast, but requested for transfer to Accra to enable her relation assist her to recover.  The teacher’s auntie (name withheld) was said to have introduced the victim to the suspect.  Pastor Kwabi allegedly brainwashed the victim and told her that her auntie, a member of his church is a witch and the cause of her predicament.
This, according to the Coordinator, affected the relationship between the teacher and her auntie who reside in the same house.  The suspect, after a few months, asked her to buy some items for her treatment.  According to the sources, the teacher bought some anointing oil, salt and communion wine.
Kwabi visited the victim at home and asked for the said items.  He was said to have mixed them and smeared the concoction on her body.  He also poured the rest into her  vagina and had sex with her.  The suspect used similar trick to have sex with her twice and was about to do it for the third time when luck run out on him.
ASP Bolah noted that the said auntie hid in the room of her niece upon a tip off to apprehend the accused.  The pastor, according to ASP Bolah, admitted having sex with the teacher but denied that he used any concoction on her.  He would be put before a law court after investigation, according to the DOVVSU Coordinator.
