Tonto Dike Debuts In Cinema With My Life My Damage

  






My Life My Damage features Tonto Dikeh, veteran actress Bukky Wright, H Thomas Altman, Meadea Tyler, Dani Palmer, Biola Williams, Bobby Obobo, Kalu Ikeagwu, Brian Price, James Tucker, Pinky Weah and Tia Dabs. The movie is part of The Damage series which is a movie collection of three distinct but interwoven stories aimed at advocacy for social issues; each story addresses important problems affecting individuals, families and societies at large.
In this movie, Tonto Dike known for her weird acting was able to depict the character of a loose young lady who careless about her life. She was able to breathe reality into the movie to give it the uniqueness and effect the producer was out to achieve.
The producer, Uche Jumbo in the Damage movies tries to highlight three different societal monsters that had threatened human existence from domestic violence, drug abuse to human trafficking. And in creating an international platform for the movie, the producer premiered My Life My Damage at the 2012 Nigerian Entertainment Awards in New York. Uche Jombo in her reaction before the premiere expressed her feelings “I am very happy to be working with iROKOtv+ on the Nollywood film festival in New York as part of this year’s NEA’s. I’ll be showing my new movie, My Life, My Damage, and l am very much looking forward to seeing people’s reactions.”
Synopsis: ‘My Life, My Damage’ deals with the consequences of drug abuse and HIV/AIDS. A young lady who lives a reckless life abroad as a drug addict is given a rude shock when she discovers that she’s HIV positive and now has to seek redemption for herself.
Interestingly, Uche Jumbo has been in the Nigerian movie industry for more than a decade and has written a quite a few blockbuster movies. The talented writer has written and co-written several movies such as: The Celebrity, Games Men Play, Holding Hope, Girls in the Hood, A Time to Love, Be My Wife, Perfect Planner, Price of Fame, To Love Forever. etc. She ventured into producing a few years ago and she is the Co-Producer and Executive Producer of Nollywood Hustlers and Holding Hope.
Uche Jombo has received several awards namely; the Award for Best Actress by AfroNolly Group in 2008 in London, England, the City People Entertainment awards for Best Actress 2010, Life Changers award, (Nollywood Personality of the Year) United Kingdom, Humanitarian Award for Haiti in New York, USA, Abriba Youth Honour of Pride Award 2010, Abriba, Abia State, Abia State Honours Award 2010. Latest among the awards was best actress at the Nollywood and African Film Critic Awards (NAFCA) in North Carolina, USA in September 2012. She was made a Glo Ambassador by Globacom, the telecommunication giant. UCHE JOMBO has won millions of fans worldwide and continues to blaze trails and inspire others around her.
